State Troopers report a single vehicle crash and one arrest in Chariton County on Sunday..
Sunday at about 7:26 am, a single vehicle crash in Chariton County left the 24-year-old driver and a three-year-old girl with minor injuries. The crash occurred on Highway 11, 2 miles north of Mendon, when the driver was northbound and ran off the road, overcorrected, struck a culvert, and her vehicle overturned. The driver and child were taken to Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield for treatment of minor injuries. They were properly restrained.
At about 12:24 pm, Troopers in Chariton County arrested 34 year old Phillip W. McHugh of Brunswick for alleged DWI. He was processed and released.
