Chillicothe Festival Of Lights

Chillicothe’s annual Festival of Lights at Simpson Park will kick-off this Saturday with the opening ceremony.  The park will be closed to through traffic from 5:00 to 7:30 pm for the event that includes the official lighting at 5:30 pm.

Festival of Lights volunteer Darren Lauhoff says the ceremony includes a special guest.

Santa will be there for the countdown and lighting.

Lauhoff explains how the annual display has grown and improved.

New LED displays and upgrading some older displays with new lighting.

Festival of Lights is funded by donations from individuals, businesses, and local foundations. Contributions include money, time, equipment, labor, and expertise from many in the community.  A donation box can be found in the park, or you can scan the QR code and donate online.
