Chillicothe police officers handled 83 calls for service on Monday. Some of those calls include.
Officers assisted with a variety of public inquiries throughout the day, including questions about possible theft, scams, and a report of marijuana odor, which was referred to a landlord. Animal control also reunited a dog with its owner after it was found on a porch.
Police took a report of stealing, which remains under investigation. Officers also responded to two separate sexual assault-related reports—one referred to another jurisdiction, and another that is currently under investigation.
In the afternoon, officers responded to a person in crisis near the highways. That individual was safely removed from the situation and transported to a hospital for evaluation with assistance from the fire department.
The day concluded with a domestic disturbance on Paul Street, which was determined to be verbal only.
