GRTS Organizations To Host Mock Accident

Grand River Technical School student organizations HOSA and SkillsUSA are hosting the annual mock accident on Wednesday. This event will include members of the Chillicothe Police, Fire, and Emergency Services, the Highway Patrol, Sheriff’s Department, and, as weather permits, Lifeflight Eagle.

Sonja Daley from GRTS explains how this will take place.

There will be morning (around 8:20) and afternoon (around 12:20) events, which include emergency vehicles responding to the scene with lights and sirens.

GRTS hosts the mock accident to show the students the perils of driving intoxicated and the aftereffects. Daley says the timing of the event is intentional.

Get the awareness going.
