Seventy-eight calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department on Thursday.
Among the incidents, officers responded to a one-vehicle crash on westbound Highway 36 near Airport Road early Thursday morning. One person was taken to a local hospital for evaluation, and the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident.
Police also investigated a suspected drug-related incident at Simpson Park after a K-9 search led to the discovery of a suspicious package. During a separate traffic stop, officers found a small amount of suspected contraband, which was seized for destruction.
Other calls included a family disturbance at a Graves Street business, a reported structure fire that turned out to be unfounded, several traffic stops resulting in warnings, a noise complaint, and a domestic-related incident on Walnut Street that remains under investigation.
