Sixty-three calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department on Wednesday. Some of the calls include:
Police responded to reports of panhandling trespassers on Graves Street, a two-vehicle non-injury crash at Graves and South Street, and a single-vehicle crash on Third Street involving damage to a mailbox. Officers also assisted a person in crisis on Calhoun Street, who was transported to a hospital for evaluation.
Later in the evening, officers conducted a welfare check on South Washington Street involving two people sleeping in a vehicle. One was determined to be a juvenile, and officers took steps to place the child in a safer situation after notifying the Missouri Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline.
Other calls included scam-related inquiries and property returned from evidence.
