CMU Generating Plant Repairs

The rotor for one of CMU’s generating units was returned to the plant Tuesday morning.  CMU General Manager Matt Hopper says the power plant was a busy place.

Unloaded with a crane.

Hopper says they will be working to bring that unit back on line.

Working towards a goal of March 1st.

Hopper says this is a generator unit that has been out of service since 2019.  Repairs to the rotor cost about $765,000, with an expected total cost to bring the unit back on line of near $1.6 million.
