Contractors Pre-Qualified For Roy Blunt Reservoir Dam Project

As the construction phase of the Roy Blunt Reservoir Dam is getting closer, the selection of contractors will be made soon.  The North Central Missouri Regional Water Commission recently voted to pre-qualify groups for the General Contractor and Specialty Contractors.

The pre-qualifying process narrows the list of contractors who will submit bids for the work, and the engineers already know who can complete the various projects required to construct the dam.

The commission pre-qualified 8 general contractors.

In addition, there are several specialties. The list includes:

  • Slurry Wall contractors – 6 approved.
  • Grout Curtain contractors – 6 approved
  • Concrete Spillway contractors – 4 approved

The next step in the selection phase is to welcome those contractors to Sullivan County for a, yet to be scheduled, industry day.

The commission hopes to make the selection of a General Contractor by year’s end and start the dam shortly after that.
