A two-vehicle crash in Caldwell County took the life of one driver Monday afternoon. State Troopers report that at about 1:25 pm, a 40-year-old Kidder man died in the crash on Old US 36 at Joe Montana Drive, east of Cameron. According to the report, a van driven by a 26-year-old Lee’s Summit woman was northbound on a private drive and turning to go west on Old Business 36. She pulled into the path of an eastbound pick-up and was struck by the truck. The truck driver, a 40-year-old Kidder man, was not wearing a safety belt and died in the crash. The driver of the van was not injured.
