Gubernatorial Appointments

Gubernatorial appointments were announced Friday by Governor Mike Kehoe, including two appointees from the local area.

Karie Black of Chillicothe was appointed to the Missouri State Council on the Arts. Black is currently a special education facilitator for the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. She previously served as executive director of the North Missouri Center for Youth and Families. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Missouri, and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership & Secondary School Administration and Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership & School Administration from Northwest Missouri State University.

Jennifer Hoppenthaler of Winston was appointed as Circuit Clerk of Daviess County.
Hoppenthaler has been serving as the circuit court clerk for the 43rd Judicial Circuit of Daviess County, where she has worked since 2011. She is active and involved in her local community with various school and church events. Hoppenthaler is a graduate of Winston R-VI High School.
