Guilty Plea Entered

A Chillicothe man, Eric Molina Benitez, pled guilty in Livingston County Circuit Court to charges of delivery and exhibiting a weapon, Benitez was originally charged with domestic assault, delivery of a controlled substance, and three counts of unlawful use of a weapon – discharging in a home, exhibiting, and while possessing a controlled substance. The guilty plea was accepted by Judge Ryan Horsman and in exchange, the other three charges were dismissed.

The prosecution recommends a sentence of five years on each count; a sentencing assessment has been ordered and the hearing is set for August 7th.
