Guilty Plea On Identity Theft

An Illinois man charged with identity theft has pled guilty in Chariton County Court.  Thirty-nine-year-old Devereaux L. Cosey was charged in 2020.  In September, he was held at the Macon County Jail and was ordered to appear in Chariton County,

Cosey was sentenced to five years of probation and restitution in the amount of $3164.23.

Following the hearing, he was returned to the Macon County Jail.  He had also pled guilty to a charge of identity theft in Macon County and was sentenced to 5 years of probation.
