Livingston County Sheriff’s Department responded to Chula Monday night for what was reported as a pursuit from Grundy County. They determined there was no pursuit, but there was an incident at a home near the Livingston/Grundy County line on Route V, that included trespassing and property damage.
A suspect fled the area in a minivan before deputies arrived. The van was later abandoned at the railroad tracks in the Northeast portion of Chula.
A K9 and drones were used, but the suspect could not be located.
That suspect has been identified and is hiding from law enforcement. The investigation continues.
