The Literacy Plan for the Chillicothe R-II School District was approved. Superintendent Dr Dan Wiebers says the goal is to have the students’ reading ability – grade-level ready.

Through the plan, Dr Wiebers says the students transition from Learning to Read to Reading to Learn.
Teaching them to read, but later teaching comprehension.
After discussion, the board approved the plan unanimously.
