Livingston County Courthouse Sewer Issues

There’s a sewer problem at the Livingston County Courthouse.  If you have visited the Courthouse, you may have noticed a sewer gas smell.  Livingston County Presiding Commissioner Ed Dougals says it is a problem that they are working to correct.

Old sewer pipes and the roof drainage.

Part of the project will include the separation of the roof drainage, which Douglas says may require talking to the State Historic Preservation Commission about running drain tubes down the outside of the building.

He says they will bid out the project and get repairs started soon.
