The State’s Jobs report for April shows non-farm payroll increased by 16,700 jobs, private industry payroll increased by 16,400 jobs, and government employment increased by 300 jobs.
Missouri’s smoothed seasonally adjusted unemployment rate increased a half percentage point, from 2.9% in April 2023 to 3.4% in 2024.
The monthly unemployment report with a breakdown by county will be released on May 24th.
