New Chillicothe Fire Truck to Columbia First

Chillicothe’s new fire truck, Engine 1, will be on display at the MU Fire and Rescue Training Institute’s Winter Fire School.  Fire Chief Eric Reeter received permission to take the truck to the event, but the truck won’t be delivered to Chillicothe before the show.

Reeter says the truck is still at MacQueen in Eureka, waiting on items to be added before the truck is delivered.  MacQueen will complete the work next week, and deliver the truck directly to the event.

Chief Reeter says two local firefighters will be attending the program in Columbia and will complete the final inspection.  When the show is over, they will drive it back to Chillicothe where the department will finalize the preparations to put the truck into service.
