The purchase of 12 new Tasers for the Chillicothe Police Department at a cost of $51,466 was approved by the Chillicothe City Council. Police Chief Jon Maples says the department currently has several models.
Learned from a training incident they need one model
He says training on several models can cause confusion and possible errors in using the Taser properly. This purchase would mean all of the Tasers are the same model.
