Parks and Recreation Board Meeting

The City of Chillicothe Board of Parks and Recreation will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, May 26, at 5 p.m. at City Hall to discuss several upcoming projects, seasonal programs, and park improvements.

The board will review regular business items including approval of previous meeting minutes and financial reports before moving into a series of management updates.

Among the items scheduled for discussion are updates on the city pool, recreation programs, baseball and softball activities, and improvements at local parks and facilities. Board members are also expected to discuss seasonal staffing needs and review upcoming summer operations.

  • Missouri Day activities
  • Chautauqua planning
  • Park maintenance projects
  • Visitor and campground updates
  • Hot air balloon event planning

The meeting will also include discussion regarding the Dewey School property and other ongoing parks and recreation matters.

The meeting is open to the public, and community members are encouraged to attend and stay informed about projects and activities taking place throughout Chillicothe’s parks system and recreational programs.
