An investigation of inappropriate behavior towards a child is being conducted by the Chillicothe Police. The department is urging the community to report any suspicious activities immediately, following a recent incident involving a man asking inappropriate questions to juveniles at Simpson Park.
On May 26th, at approximately 8:30 PM, officers were alerted to a Facebook post detailing the interaction at Simpson Park. It was noted that the report had a delay of approximately 30 minutes, which hindered a timely response. Officers later learned the incident had taken place the previous day, at about 6:30 pm.
Officers emphasize the importance of immediate reporting of such incidents to ensure swift action and resolution. Despite the delay in reporting, the department is taking this matter seriously and is actively working to identify the individual involved.
