Access to US 65 from Polk Street will be closed for a week beginning May 19th. The Missouri Department of Transportation has contracted Capital Paving and Construction, LLC, to complete a resurfacing project on US 65 in Chillicothe from north of Route 190 to US 36. As part of the project, access to Polk Street west of US 65 will be closed for a week, beginning Monday.
MoDOT says there will be no access to/from Polk Street west of US 65. This will be an around-the-clock closure. Motorists will need to seek an alternate route.
In addition, crews will also work on several streets on the west side of US 65, resulting in short-term closures during the project at Bryan Street, Waples Street, Curtis Street, and Ryan Lane.
