Rural House Or Property Numbers

Having a clear way to identify a property where an emergency is taking place can save precious minutes for those who need help.  Chillicothe Fire Chief Eric Reeter says those minutes are very important.

A lot of rural houses are not marked.

Reeter says placing a house number sign at the end of the driveway or lane leading to your home can help pinpoint access to your property.

At the end of the lane helps significantly.

The Livingston County Health Center has signs that can be mounted to your mailbox or a signpost.  The signs are aluminum, with a highly reflective blue background and 4-inch numbers.  The cost is from 20-40 dollars.  To order a sign, contact the Livingston County Health Center at 660-646-5506.
