How legislative and financial issues will shape rural education will be discussed on Thursday, April 30th, at the Gary Dickinson Performing Arts Center. The program will start at 6:00 pm. Chillicothe R-II Superintendent Dr Dan Wiebers says patrons from three area counties have been invited to participate.
Livingston, Mercer, And Grundy Counties.
This town hall will take a closer look at how public schools are funded, the challenges districts are currently navigating, and how recent legislation could impact rural education.
Topics will include:
- School funding and state support
- Recent legislative changes
- The future of rural schools and communities
This is open to all residents of Mercer, Grundy, and Livingston counties.
