When the filing for the Chillicothe R-II School Board election closed on December 30th, three candidates filed for the three open seats. The candidates are Allison Pickering, Dr. David Neal, and Josh Norris.
As there are only three candidates, the school district is not required to hold an election. This means the $10,000 that was budgeted will not be used for the election.
That is a savings for the school district.
