An Iowa man facing alleged 2nd Degree Murder Charges in Sullivan County has had his case moved to Circuit Court. 35-year-old Shane M. Stephenson of Osceola, IA faces charges in the death of a child who was two years old when the child was in his care in October of 2017.
In 2024, the child was found unresponsive in his home in Chillicothe. He was taken to the hospital and was pronounced dead. The autopsy indicated the cause of death was due to a seizure resulting from non-accidental head injury, the direct result of the injuries in 2017.
