A Trenton man facing charges that include two counts of alleged assault had his case heard in Circuit Court.  Thirty-four-year-old Cody E. Davis of Trenton had appeared in Associate Court on Tuesday for a preliminary hearing.  He was bound over to Circuit court on charges of alleged Assault (x2), unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action, and property damage.

Arraignment in Circuit Court was held Thursday morning, and Davis entered a guilty plea on four counts.  The armed criminal action charge was dropped.  The sentencing assessment has been waived.  He is sentenced to a total of 16 years in prison.
