Troopers Report Two Crashes Resulting In Injuries

Two crashes in the area on Thursday resulted in Minor and Moderate injuries.

The Missouri Highway Patrol reports an accident at 1:40 pm on Interstate 35 near Lathrop that involved three vehicles that were northbound. According to the report, a 50-year-old Cameron woman was stopped in the lane due to congested traffic. A 64-year-old Trenton woman had slowed behind the first vehicle, and a 53-year-old Canton woman struck the rear of the Trenton vehicle, continued, and struck the Cameron vehicle. A 63-year-old passenger in the Trenton vehicle and the drivers from the Clinton and Cameron vehicles had minor injuries and were taken to Liberty Hospital for treatment.


In DeKalb County on Highway E at Heimbaugh Road, a two-vehicle crash happened at about 1:49 pm, as a 51-year-old Cameron man was southbound on Heimbaugh Road and attempted to make a left turn, striking a westbound vehicle driven by a 54-year-old Pattonsburg woman. The Pattonsburg woman was taken to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph with moderate injuries. The Cameron man was treated for minor injuries at Cameron Regional Medical Center.
