Utility Project Bids Receive City Council Approval

Bids for CMU projects that were accepted by the Board of Public Works were approved by the Chillicothe City Council.

The bid for the 2026 Sewer Rehabilitation Project came in above the budgeted amount, but CMU General Manager Matt Hopper says they adjusted the scope of the project to fit the budget.

Eliminated two sizes and the adjusted bid came in at $538,870   The bid went to SAK.

Hopper says they received six bids for the East Side Interceptor project.  He says the bids came in under the engineer’s estimates.

The winning bidder was M&M Utilities of Chillicothe for $1,680,973

Hopper says the second low bid was also from a Chillicothe business.
