Lady Hornets Complete Another Clean Sweep

The Chillicothe Lady Hornets volleyball played in front of their home fans for the first time this season on Thursday night as they hosted the Trenton Bulldogs. Both teams entered the match with a 1-0 record, but it was Chillicothe who remained unbeaten, rolling to a 3 set victory. The Hornets won 25-11, 25-11 and 25-5 behind a big night from Emerson Staton who led the team with 12 digs and 7 digs. Ava Leamer added 9 kills and 5 digs, while Lyla Beetsma’s all around performance included 8 serving aces, 6 digs and 5 kills. Carman Woodworth was setting her team up for success all night and finished with 24 assists in the match.

 

Chillicothe improves to 2-0 on the season and will host Brookfield on Tuesday.
