The Chillicothe Lady Hornets softball team played their final game of the regular season Monday at Danner Park against Trenton. The Lady Hornets closed out their last game at home with another impressive performance. Maicee Albrecht, Hope Donoho and Landry Marsh all had multiple hits and scored multiple runs in the game, while Ali Probasco pitched the majority of the contest in a 10-3 win.
Chillicothe is now 21-5 overall and finished 7-0 in the MEC heading into the postseason. Chillicothe earned the 1 seed in the Class 3 District 8 tournament and will play 8th seeded Maryville on Wednesday at Hyde Park in St. Joseph in the opening round of the district tournament.
