Crowe Picks Up Lone Win In Hornet Tennis Loss At Marshall

Chillicothe Hornets Tennis #2 singles player Noah Crowe had the lone victory in an 8-1 Hornets loss at Marshall.

Chillicothe Coach Bob Long called it Crowe’s best singles win as a Hornet. Crowe built a quick lead before his opponent closed it to 5-4. Crowe won the last three games and picked up the 8-4 win.

In other singles matches: Tyler Maasdam lost 2-8, Brendon Nelson lost 5-8, Seth Batye lost 1-8, Grahm Mayers lost0-8 and Colten Johnson lost 6-8.
In Varsity Double: Maasdam and Batye lost 4-8, Crowe and Mayers lost 5-8 and Nelson and Johnson lost  7-9.

Marshall’s JV team swept Chillicothe. For the Hornets JV team: Gavin Sampsel and Caleb Corbin lost 2-8, Spencer Maasdam and Chance Corbin lost 4-8, Carson Anderson and Tucker Hathcock lost 0-8, Warren Messervey and Ben Cueni-Smith lost 1-8, Remington Gillespie and Alex Webb lost 3-8 while Tyler Huffman and Carson Anderson lost 6-8.
