CHS Volleyball Serves Up Win

Strong serves helped the Chillicothe Lady Hornets Volleyball team beat Hamilton with relative ease 25-2, 25-1 and 25-5 at Penney High School,
Chillicothe Coach Robert Long said Sophomores Jessica Reeter and Anna Fisher dominated the first two sets with their serves. Fisher began the match serving the first 24 points. Reeter took the ball with the score 4-1 in the second set and served 21 points in a row for the win.
In complete varsity statistics for Chillicothe: Delanie Kieffer four kills, two aces and five digs. Izzie Montgomery two kills, five aces and one dig. Clara Leamer two aces and one kill, Ella Leamer one kill and four digs. Maya Snyder three kills, nine assists, four aces and one dig. Anna Fisher 23 aces and one dig. Jessica Reeter 20 aces, five assists, one dig and one kill. Gracie West three aces, two blocks, four kills and one assist. Makayla Vance one kill, Essie Hicks four kills and three aces and Trista Tipton one dig.
In the Junior Varsity contest, the Hamilton JV won 25-6, 25-7. For Chillicothe Freshman Maci Johnson led the team with eight aces followed by Sophomore Halle Hill with six and Freshman Madison Albaugh with five. Hill also had five assists.
