A Chillicothe couple is the recipient of a new heating and air-conditioning system thanks to the LENNOX – “Feel The Love” Campaign. Jim and Gayle Durham of Chillicothe were nominated anonymously for the honor. KCHI spoke with the couple as the system was installed and they said this was unexpected until they learned about the gift a few weeks ago. The nominations are meant to recognize an unsung hero who may be going through hardship, helping others in need, or simply supporting their community.
Jim and Gayle Durham have been members of the Chillicothe community for many years, but have also spent decades in Haiti, serving as missionaries. As part of that mission, they helped to build an orphanage.
Gayle talked about her reaction when she found they would receive the new system.
The couple had recently found out their air-conditioning unit was beginning to fail and would have to be replaced.
LENNOX International provided systems to recipients across the country with the installation provided by the local dealers.
