Freshman Brock Ward scored two touchdowns and a conversion to help the Junior Varsity Hornets Football team to a 28-6 win at Marshall.
Dan Hoel scored first for Chillicothe on a 15-yard run in the first quarter, with the conversion no good. Ward scored on a 17-yard run in the second quarter with Damarcus Kelow running in the two point conversion.
In the second half, Ward scored on a 46-yard run and QB Gage Leamer hit Ward for the two point conversion. Donald McCracken finished the Hornets scoring with a 39-yard touchdown run. Marshall scored late in the game on a 50-yard pass.
Coach Roman Cranmer credited Anderson DeJesus with a fumble recovery. McCracken had a blocked punt recovered by Cameron Fleener. Cranmer also said the Offensive and Defensive lines played well, and the Defense, Gage Leamer, the Quarterback, Deon Reynolds and all of the running backs had good games.
