Newest Chapter in an Old Rivalry

The Bell Game.  Anyone who has ever lived in this part of Missouri knows what that means. Town Pride, School Pride and hard knocking football. The annual Linn County football battle will be Friday night when Brookfield heads to Marceline for what is believed to be the 97th meeting.
Brookfield Head Coach Scott Stevens will be coaching in his second Bell Game. He says it’s just a different kind of intense rivalry.

Stevens says Marceline is similar to past years with a balanced, spread type offense. Marceline won the game last year 28-0. This season Brookfield is 0-2, losing 6-0 and 8-0 while Marceline is 2-0 with two lopsided wins.
Friday Night, those records will mean nothing.
