Chillicothe’s Hunter Keithley and Kennedie Kieffer combined for 33 points in a Lady Hornets Basketball win Tuesday night. Chillicothe beat Kirksville on the road 53-34 to improve to 6-2 on the season.
Keithley started the scoring with a trey and a deuce to give Chillicothe a 5-0 lead. The Lady Hornets led the rest of the way, by as many as 21 points in the fourth quarter.
Coach Darren Smith said Keithley had a great first half and Kieffer had a strong second half.
In addition to Keithley’s 17 points and Kieffer’s 16 points, Maggie Pfaff had 8, Jordan Hibner finished with six points, Magy Thomas had 3, Brooke Horton with 2Â and Haley Kidd with a free throw. Seven other Lady Hornets saw important playing time.
