Chillicothe Sophomore Jordan Hibner hit six treys to help the Lady Hornets basketball team to a 45-32 win over Maryville. The victory sends the Chillicothe girls team to the Cameron Tournament Finals for the fifth consecutive year. They have won the title the last four years.
In total the team went 9 of 21 from outside. Coach Darren Smith says Lawson had a defense designed to stop the Chillicothe inside game.
Hibner finished with 20 points, Hunter Keithley had 15, Maggie Pfaff with 6, Brooke Horton with 2, Catey Trout and Selby Miller each had one point.
Magy Thomas, Essie Hicks, Maya Snyder, Laney Gaston, Lucy Reeter and Kennedie Kieffer each played but didn’t score.
Chillicothe will face Smithville for the championship Saturday at 1:00pm. Chillicothe beat Smithville in December in a defensive game played in the NCMC Holiday Hoops Showcase.
