After a close margin most of the game, Smithville went on a 15-0 run in the late third and early fourth quarter to pull away from the Lady Hornets.
Coach Darren Smith talks about his team’s problems during that Smithville run.
Chillicothe was led by Hunter Keithley with 10 points, Jordan Hibner with eight, Laney Gaston and Brooke Hornets each with six, Kennedie Kieffer with five, Maggie Pfaff with four and Magy Thomas with a free throw. Also playing were Essie Hicks, Catey Trout, Selby Miller and Lucy Reeter.
Chillicothe falls to 13-5 on the season and is at Lawson Monday night for a 9th Grade, Junior Varsity and Varsity triple header. Due to technical difficulties with the Lawson Gym, KCHI will not be able to broadcast the game.
