11 Hornets score in District Opening Win

Chillicothe cruised past Lexington in the Class 3 District 14 boys basketball tournament in Higginsville on Tuesday. The Hornets scored the first six points and rolled on to win by 38 points in a score of 63-25.
A big second quarter helped Chillicothe, outscoring Lexington 25-3.
Hornets Coach Tim Cool said his team was ready from the beginning of the game.

C. J. Pfaff led Chillicothe with 21 points, all in the first half. Bradley Riley scored seven,  Hunter Swift and Westley Brandsgaard each scored six points.
Matt Smith scored five, Mason Baxter and Peyton Forck each had four points. Matt Anthony and William Perry each score three, Eli Cross and Hayden Simmer both scored two points.
Playing but not scoring were Dalton Ripley, Michael Riddle and Hunter Rader.
Chillicothe plays Richmond in the semi-finals on Thursday at 7:00pm, pending weather problems. Richmond beat Carrollton 45-28.
In the upper half the bracket #1 St Paul’s Lutheran beat Brookfield 85-55 and Trenton edged Higginsville 47-40.
