The High School Basketball semi-final match ups have been determined for Classes 1 through 3. Quarterfinal games were decided over the weekend.
In Class 1 Girls:
Stanberry beat Worth County 51-30 and Community beat Green City 61-50. Stanberry at 26-3 meets Community at 26-2.
Walnut Grove beat South Iron 55-52 and meets unbeaten Lakeland, which beat Weaubleau 48-45
In Class 1 Boys
Jefferson beat previously unbeaten Winston 55-39. Linn County downed Wellsville 55-49. Jefferson at 26-4 takes on Linn County at 15-7
St Elizabeth (23-5) beat Lakeland 91-70 and will face Dora (29-1), which beat Risco 74-31
In Class 2 Girls
Mid Buchanan beat Skyline 56-55. Hartville beat Miller 40-26. Mid Buchanan at 25-5 will play Hartville at 27-4
Clopton (27-3) beat Northeast of Cairo (KAY-row) 42-36 and will face Thayer (28-3), who beat Oran 58-28
In Class 2 Boys
Plattsburg beat Skyline 49-47. The 22-8 Tigers face Greenwood, which improved to 27-3 with a 57-52 win over Marionville.
Van Far (22-7) beat Northeast of Cairo 62-43 and faces Oran at 29-1, which beat Portageville by 3 points.
In Class 3 Girls
Trenton beat St Pius X 50-35 and will meet Strafford, a 73-31 winner over Callaway. Trenton is 26-0 while Strafford has won 113 games in a row and will be trying for a 4th straight state championship.
Lutheran North at 25-6 takes on Licking at 26-4 in the other semi-final
In Class 3 Boys
St Paul’s Lutheran beat St Michaels by 1 point and plays Springfield Catholic which is 28-3.
Vashon beat Trinity Catholic and takes on Charleston, which beat St James in the semi-finals.
