The Chillicothe Girls Soccer team has advanced to the District championship game thanks to a 7-0 semi-final win over Moberly in Chillicothe. It marked the third win over Moberly this season.
Chillicothe jumped to an early lead with a Maggie Pfaff goal in the second minute off a Sydney Baxter corner kick. Three minutes later Magy Thomas scored off a Lucy Reeter assist.
In the 20th minute Sarah Graves scored unassisted. She scored again two minutes later off Reeter’s second assist. Another two minutes later Devin Dowell scored unassisted. Just before half it was Graves with the assist and Reeter with the goal for 6-0 at the half.
In a rain shortened second half, Graves finished her hat trick with a header goal off a Baxter corner kick for the final 7-0 score.
Chillicothe now stands at 16-4 with 15 shut outs and faces Kirksville in the district championship game Thursday at 7:00pm.
