LCSD K-9 Unit Kept Busy

The K-9 unit of the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department has been busy recently with a number of investigations.
The K-9 Unit with Zaki assisted the Carroll County Sheriff Deputy on a vehicle stop. Zaki gave indication of an order of drugs present which led to finding numerous prescriptions to other people, some unidentified prescriptions with labels removed and Marijuana.
A Springfield, Illinois man was stopped for speeding and had indicators of possible drug possession. Zaki was called which led to seizure of drug pipes and learning the driver swallowed certain controlled substance when he was worried about being stopped.
The K-9 unit was summoned to assist the Chillicothe Police on an incident with an alleged violent fugitive which was found to be in possession of Methamphetamine.
An 18 year old Chillicothe male was arrested for alleged felony possession of a controlled substance. Kelly Noel Hanshaw Saville was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail.
