A Michigan woman was injured in a one car accident near Chillicothe on Wednesday.
According to Police and Fire department report, the accident occurred during the noon hour on Highway 36 at Blackwell Creek. A vehicle drive by Lora Thompson of Niles, Michigan was westbound on 36 and lost control after hydroplaning on the roadway.
The vehicle traveled off the south side of the road, hit a guardrail and overturned.
The Chillicothe Department of Emergency Services used a hydraulic spreader to remove the passenger door to access and remove the patient.
Thompson was transferred on a backboard and taken to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.
