For the first time since the first game of the season, the Chillicothe Lady Hornets Volleyball team battled back from a first set loss to win the match 2 to 1.
Chillicothe downed Fulton in the opening round of Districts at Centralia. The Lady Hornets lost the first set 15-25 then won the next two, both by the score of 25-21 to advance to district Semifinals.
Individually for Chillicothe: Clara Leamer had 6 kills, 1 block and 1 dig. Ella Leamer hat 3 kills, 2 assists and 1 dig.
Essie Hicks had 2 aces, 2 kills and 1 dig. Gracie West had 2 kills and 3 blocks. Haylee Coplen had 12 assists and 5 digs.
Jessie Reeter had 2 kills and 9 assists. Lucy Gaston has 3 kills and 2 digs.
MaKayla Vance had 12 digs and Maya Snyder had an ace, 8 kills, 2 blocks and 5 assists.
Chillicothe faces top seed Kirksville in the semi-finals Thursday at 5:00pm at Centralia High School, date change due to weather concerns.
Chillicothe lost at home to Kirksville Oct 1st 17-25, 16-25.
