The Chillicothe Lady Hornets led nearly the entire game in a 31-18 home win over Kirksville, including blanking them in the third quarter and only allowing six points the entire second half.
The highlight of the night was Senior Hunter Keithley scoring her 1,000th point in the third quarter of the game. Lady Hornets Coach Darren Smith says Keithley is a lot more than just a good shot.
Keithley is the 11th lady Hornet to reach the 1,000 mark. <Other 1000 points Lady Hornets> She ended up with 13 points on the night. Jordan Hibner had 12, Lucy Reeter had four, Jessica Reeter with 2 and playing time for Essie Hicks, Brooke Horton, Selby Miller, Haley Kidd, Montana Plattner and Josie Reeter.
Chillicothe hosts Cameron tonight at 5:45, A Chillicothe win gives them a share of the Midland Empire Conference Title. Chillicothe beat Cameron by two points in overtime in the Cameron Tournament in January.
