Chillicothe Police Report

A few of the man calls answered by Chillicothe Police Friday included at 1:30am, Officers responded to the 400 block of Calhoun Street for a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon Officers arrival it was determined the disturbance was a verbal argument between two subjects. A 23 year old subject failed to comply with a lawful order from Police during the investigation and was arrested.  This subject was transported to Daviess/DeKalb County Regional Jail pending charges of peace disturbance and resisting arrest.
At 7:42am, Officer spoke with subject in reference to phone fraud. Suspect had represented themselves as a police officer and was requiring money from the subject. The police department will not call and request money from you and reminds you to not provide your personal information to anyone over the phone.
At 8:56am, Officer out in the 200 block of Webster Street to check on two small children that were unsupervised and playing near the street. Officer was able to contact the parent who had been sleeping and unaware the children had gotten out of the house. Information will be forwarded to Family Services.
At 11:25am, Officer dispatched to two vehicle crash at Polk and Washington Street. Both vehicles had been northbound on Washington and one vehicle struck the other in the rear. No one was injured and minor damage inflicted. Vehicles were driven from the scene.
At 3:09pm, Report of minor accident in the 1800 block of Calhoun Street with a vehicle backing from a private driveway and striking a vehicle at curbside. Information obtained and the striking vehicle’s driver was cited for improper backing.
At 5:59pm, Report of subject knocking on door and won’t leave in the 200 block of Jackson Street. Subject was leaving as Officers arrived. No report was made.
