CHS earns Medals at MEC Tennis

Chillicothe Lady Hornets tennis players brought home three individual medals from the Midland Empire Conference singles and doubles tournaments.
In Singles, Delaney May had a first round bye, beat a Savannah player in the Quarterfinals, lost to a LeBlond player in the semifinals then beat a Maryville player 6-3, 6-1 to finish 3rd.
Megan Sisson beat a Savannah player in the first round, lost in the Quarterfinals to a Maryville player, beat a Cameron player in the quarterfinals but lost to a Lafayette player in the consolation semifinals and did not place.
In Doubles Cami Carpenter and Leah Lourenco won their first match against Savannah, lost to LeBlond in the quarterfinals, beat St Pius in the consolation  quarterfinals, won the consolation semi finals and beat Chillicothe’s Riley Washburn and Olivia Anderson for 5th place.
For Washburn and Anderson, they lost to Maryville in the first round, had a 2nd round bye, beat Lafayette in consolation quarterfinals, beat the Maryville team from the first round 8-4 and lost to Carpenter Lourenco 2-8 to finish 6th.
