JV Football & Softball Results

Some non-varsity Chillicothe sports teams have been in action this week.
The Junior Varsity Football team fell to Savannah earlier this week 18-0 in JV quarters and 14-0 in one C-team quarter. Coach Aaron McQuinn said the JV Hornets offense struggled to stay in tempo and keeping drives moving down the field. He pointed to Freshman running back Javon Kille and Sophomore QB Landon Winder as playing tough along with blocks by Wide Receivers Shane Murphy and James Mathews.
On defense, Murphy deflected a pass and Hornets defensive lineman Lucas Reynolds grabbed the ball out of the air for an interception. Linebacker Caden Larson had a fumble recovery late in the fourth quarter.

The Chillicothe Junior Varsity softball team ended their season with an 8 to 7 win over Trenton JV. Katelyn Fleener hit a bases clearing double to go ahead by two runs in Chillicothe last half inning of batting. Pitcher Hadley Beemer held Trenton to one run in the top of the last inning for the win.
Jolie Bonderer walked, singled and scored twice. Hadley Beemer walked and scored, Adra Stretch singles, reached on hit-by-pitch and scored. Katelyn Fleener had a three RBI double. Jaycie Stimpson reached on a walk and scored. Quincey Jessen singled and scored a run. Hallie Gault reached on an error, Faith Richardson singles, Kaylee Bethards reached on an error and scored and Heidi Gault reached on an error.
