Why Is It Called The “Joe Shy” Relays?

One of the biggest track meets of the regular season is Friday with the Joe Shy Relays at Chillicothe’s Jerry Litton Memorial Stadium.
KCHI Sports Director Randy Dean tells us about the background of the Hornets Track Legend, Mr, Joe Shy.

Friday’s meet begins with throwing and jumping events at 2:00pm with running events starting at 3:00pm. At last report, Chillicothe Boys Track Coach Bill Shaffer said there are no restrictions for fan attendance due to Covid.  However he did state that Livingston County Health Officials encourage all spectators to maintain social distancing and have masks on when closer than 6 feet to other individuals.
