There are new developments in the ongoing attempt to put a large hog farm in Livingston County. Presiding Commissioner of Livingston County Ed Douglas says the County Commission has been notified that United Hog Farms have withdrawn their application for the operation in Livingston County.
The initial application was applied for in early 2020 and then withdrawn in September 2020. The company then reapplied with a bigger operation. Concerns were raised by county citizens. Douglas comments on those concerns.
Presiding Commissioner Douglas stated if the company wanted to re-submit another application, the process would restart all over again, including new fees.
